1. What this site is
Freeze & Fold publishes editorial buying advice and recipes about home ice cream makers. It is a publication. We do not sell, ship, service, repair or warranty any product mentioned here, and we are not the retailer for anything you buy through a link on this site.
2. The content is information, not a guarantee
We take accuracy seriously and document our standards in our methodology and editorial policy. We do not warrant that everything here is complete, current or error-free.
In particular, and worth being specific about:
- Specifications change. Manufacturers revise products without changing model numbers. Confirm anything that matters to your purchase with the manufacturer or retailer before buying.
- Prices change constantly. No live price data is active on this site, so every buy link sends you to the retailer's current listing. Any price mentioned in our copy is attributed and dated and is a historical reference point, not an offer.
- Availability changes. A machine recommended here may be discontinued after publication. We review pages on the cadence described in our editorial policy, and gaps will happen.
- We do not test machines. Our verdicts synthesize published third-party testing and manufacturer specifications. We have never claimed otherwise, and our methodology says so up front.
3. Recipes and food safety
Recipes here are provided for general use. You are responsible for food safety in your own kitchen: handling dairy and eggs appropriately, cooking custard bases to a safe temperature, keeping frozen food frozen, and knowing your own allergies and those of anyone you serve.
Recipes involving raw or lightly cooked eggs carry the usual risks. If you are pregnant, elderly, immunocompromised, or serving anyone who is, cook custard bases fully or choose an eggless recipe.
Nothing on this site is dietary, nutritional or medical advice. Pages about high-protein or lower-sugar desserts describe techniques, not health recommendations.
4. Using appliances safely
Follow the manufacturer's instruction manual for your machine. Where our guidance and the manufacturer's differ, follow the manufacturer. Ice-and-salt machines involve brine that is cold enough to cause injury on sustained skin contact, and several pages here say so where it is relevant.
5. Affiliate links
This site earns commission on qualifying purchases made through its links, disclosed in full in the affiliate disclosure. Your purchase contract is with the retailer, not with us. Returns, refunds, shipping, warranty claims and order problems are matters for the retailer and the manufacturer.
6. Links to other sites
We link to sources, manufacturers and retailers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the destination.

The text, structure, editorial scores and original photography compilation on this site are owned by Janet Media Group and protected by copyright. You may read, print and share pages for personal use, and quote briefly with attribution and a link.
