Freeze & Fold is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
In practice: when you click a buy link here and purchase something, Amazon pays us a small percentage of the sale. The price you pay is identical to what you would pay arriving at Amazon any other way. Our Associates tracking ID for this site is jmg-freezefold-20.
Amazon is the only affiliate network active on this site. We are not enrolled in any other affiliate program for this category, and we do not build tracked links for programs we have not joined.
How the links work
Buy links on this site pass through our own /go/ redirect before reaching the retailer. That exists so we can see which recommendations people find useful and so a destination can be updated in one place if a product moves. The redirect is excluded from search engines and adds a fraction of a second.
Every earning link carries rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" and opens in a new tab, per Google's link-spam policy.
Links to sources — America's Test Kitchen, Ice Cream Science, Dream Scoops, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, manufacturer specification pages — are ordinary links. They are not tagged, not cloaked, and earn us nothing. They are there because a claim needs evidence.
Why there are no prices on this site
Prices and availability change constantly, and a figure typed into a web page goes stale within days and then misleads. So no live price data layer is active here, and every buy button says “Check price on Amazon” rather than showing a number we cannot verify at the moment you click.
Where a price appears in our copy it is attributed and dated, for example “America's Test Kitchen listed it at $70 in June 2026.” That is a reference point for comparing machines, not a claim about today's price. Check the current price at the retailer before buying.
What the commission does not buy
- Placement. No manufacturer or retailer has paid to appear here, to rank higher, or to be described more favorably.
- Products. No manufacturer has sent us a machine. We do not test machines, which is set out in full in our methodology.
- Pre-publication review. Nobody outside this site sees a page before it publishes.
- Our verdicts. Our overall top pick is a machine that costs a fifth of the most expensive one we cover, which would be a poor commercial decision if commission drove our recommendations. It does not.
Where a conflict could arise, and how we handle it
The honest risk in affiliate publishing is recommending a more expensive machine because it pays more. Three commitments against that.
Cheaper is often the answer, and we say so. Several pages here conclude “buy the cheaper one.” Our comparison of the Cuisinart ICE-21 against the ICE-30 ends that way, and so does the Creami versus Creami Deluxe page.
Every page names who should not buy. Every product card carries a “who should skip this” section, and several pages tell readers not to buy anything at all yet.
Some pages sell nothing on purpose. Our troubleshooting pages carry no product links, because an icy batch is a recipe problem and selling someone a second machine to fix it would be bad faith. Those pages say so in a visible note.
